Shuttle bus from Oaxaca Airport to Oaxaca City
The shuttle bus (colectivo) is a shared van service that drops passengers off at hotels and Airbnbs in Zone 1 (Centro) for $135 pesos (~US$7) per person.
If your accommodation is outside the central zone, it costs $210 pesos (US$11) per person.
👉 Tickets are bought inside the terminal after you exit baggage claim — look for the transportation booth near the exit doors.

Since the city is only 20–30 minutes from the airport, there’s no need to stay near the airport. Even for early or late flights, it’s better to stay in Centro where there’s more to do, eat, and see. But the Maria Ines Hotel Suite is 1km from the Airport.
Money Exchange
There’s one currency exchange booth inside the arrivals area and two ATMs. Exchange rates at the airport aren’t great, but if you need pesos right away, you’ll be fine until you reach the city.
