I took a walk around the city today to see how the decorations are coming along, and there’s already plenty to see. From colourful street decorations and giant skeletons to the details appearing around the historic centre, the city is getting ready for one of its biggest celebrations of the year.

These photos were taken on October 21, around ten days before the main Día de Muertos celebrations. It’s a look at Oaxaca City as it prepares for the festivities, before the biggest crowds arrive and more events get underway.
