How to get from Oaxaca Airport to Oaxaca City
There’s a couple more common ways to get into the city. You’re most likely going in the airport shuttle bus (mini van), or in an airport taxi. Both of these need to be paid for in advance inside the terminal. As soon as you’ve picked up your bag, right next to the exit door you’ll find this booth in the pic below where you buy your tickets. You can also book a private driver pick-up in advance.

The Oaxaca airport shuttle bus is the most common and cheapest option. It’ll cost you $115 pesos (US$7) per person to get from the airport to your hotel or Airbnb door in Centro Oaxaca. If you are outside the Zone 1 Centro zone, it’ll be $180 (US$11) per person.

The taxi’s at Oaxaca airport are private airport taxis that only service the airport. It’s the quickest and most direct way to get to your hotel, but also the most expencive. Getting from Oaxaca City to Oaxaca airport is easy enough. You will be able to just take any yellow taxi in Centro Oaxaca and should cost around $250 pesos (US$15). Your hotel can ring and book you one. There are also airport shuttles you can book to get back. Also if you are in a bigger group or have lots of luggage, can book a private driver.
